here is my story
I was 246 pounds, 49 years old and feeling terrible about myself. My health was deteriorating. I had passed the point of just being unhealthy and was on the road to sick (fill out Dr. Andersen's Health Assessment and you will see what I mean). I knew I needed to step back into my own life. It meant taking ownership of my decisions and intervening. My husband was an accidental tourist on this journey. He began to lose weight and feel great too! There's lots of reasons to want to lose weight --- looking great again, getting back into those favorite outfits...and don't get me wrong, I wanted that too. But more than that I wanted to be HEALTHY. I wanted to make sure that I wasn't going to be another statistic in the medical journals as a testament to our poor eating habits. I took a page from Sugar Ray --- here is a guy who still trains every day as though he is going to fight. His mantra is POWER ---- Prepare, Overcome, and Win Every Round.
